[-] Overview This new and unique course covers a wide range of applications focused on aerospace computational aspects.

As mirrored by developments in the motorsport industry, within the next five years there will be a demand for engineers and leaders who will be using 100% digital techniques for aeronautical design and testing. With its blend of skills-based and subject-specific material, this course aims to provide students with generic practical skills and cutting-edge knowledge adaptable to the wide variety of applications in the field of aerospace computational engineering.

Delivered with a unique focus on industry challenges and concerns, this course will equip you with strong experimental, numerical and analytical skills in structural mechanics for both composite and metallic components.

This will help you to practically apply this knowledge to solve real engineering problems. Students who enrol come from a variety of different backgrounds.

These are awarded for: Sir Jackie Stewart OBE Prize - Best overall student performance Visiting Professor Adrian Reynard Prize - Best thesis British Racing Drivers' Club (BRDC) Prize - Best student ambassador Best overall Group Design Project MSA (Motor Sports Association) Prize - Best Group design project presentation Racecar Engineering Magazine Prize - Best Group design project poster. The focus is on the “mechatronics” aspect of the discipline, which is the engineering of advanced control systems, multi-domain computer modelling, in-vehicle communication networks, electromechanical and embedded systems, hardware-in-the-loop validation and systems integration. This course aims to provide students with a sound understanding of the fundamental scientific, engineering and managerial principles involved in motorsport.

A combination of mechanics, electronics and computer systems, this postgraduate programme prepares graduates for a career in motorsport or high-performance engineering....

It will provide you with practical experience in the measurement, analysis, modelling and simulation of airflows and aerial vehicles.

You have the choice of two specialist options which you chose once you commence your studies: Flight Dynamics or Aerodynamics. Suitable if you have an interest in aerodynamic design, flow control, flow measurement, flight dynamics and flight control.

The modules include lectures and tutorials and are assessed through practical work, written examinations, case studies, essays, presentations and tests.

These provide the 'tools' required for the group and individual projects. This course is suitable for graduates with science, applied science, engineering or related degrees keen to pursue careers in the development or exploitation of materials; graduates currently working in industry keen to extend their qualifications; or individuals with other qualifications who possess considerable relevant experience....
