Funded Ph D Programme (European/UK Students Only) Some or all of the Ph D opportunities in this programme have funding attached.

It is available to citizens of a number of European countries (including the UK). However full funding may not be available to all applicants and you should read the full programme details for further information.

As mentioned before, all projects must have a department supervisor, and so the first step usually involves discussing your areas of interest with your Course Adviser, and then contacting potential supervisors.

The Ph D is the primary research degree that can be taken in the Computer Laboratory.

The Cambridge Ph D is a three-year programme of individual research on a topic agreed by the student and the Laboratory, under the guidance of a staff member as the student's supervisor.

That is, a document that demonstrates a clear path from the candidate's current position to a complete Ph D dissertation at the end of the third year.

Applicants for graduate programs must have the equivalent of a bachelor’s degree with a minimum GPA equivalent to First Class on the UK Honour scale.

Please do not approach potential supervisors until after the Project Briefing lecture.

Once you have found a supervisor who has agreed to supervise your project, and you have agreed upon a topic, you will need to complete a Phase 1 form on Moodle.
