Prior to joining the Foundation, he held an adjunct faculty position in Biology at Elmhurst College in Elmhurst, Illinois. Richard Bollinger is responsible for the management of the full life cycle of the grant process and the development of new funding initiatives within the Character Virtue Development and Voluntary Family Planning funding areas. She worked previously in the private client group at Dechert, LLP, an international law firm in Philadelphia, where she focused on U. and international estate and tax planning and on tax-exempt and other nonprofit organizations in the U. He also served as a Rotary Ambassadorial Scholar in Innsbruck, Austria. In this role, he oversees the Foundation’s digital properties and its branding and messaging efforts.
He is a licensed clinical psychologist and previously worked as the Director of Psychotherapy Services at the Clinical Practices of the University of Pennsylvania’s Outpatient Psychiatry Center. He is responsible for raising awareness of the Foundation’s extensive grantmaking and philanthropic activities, including the Templeton Prize. Carlson served as Director of Public Affairs at a Beijing-based strategic communications agency, where he managed a team that advised Fortune 50 firms including Apple and Amazon on their China operations.
In that role, he works to support programs that advance the Foundation’s mission within the broader public, with a particular emphasis on outreach to opinion leaders in the media, religious communities, elite undergraduate institutions, and seminaries. Cunningham worked in University Ministry at the University of Pennsylvania in partnership with the Office of the Chaplain for the CCO and Christian Union.
A graduate of John Brown University, he received a MDiv from Gordon-Conwell Theological Seminary.

Joanna Almond oversees planning and implementation of the Annual Members and Trustees Meeting, Corporate Meetings, Board of Advisors Meetings, and other Foundation events.Rashid Dar is a Program Officer for Global Strategies at the John Templeton Foundation, where he oversees the Foundation’s Islam-related grant portfolio across the globe.Prior to this role, he worked as a researcher at the Brookings Institution in Washington, DC, analyzing the relationship between Islam and politics, often termed Islamism.Before working at the Foundation, he was a teaching fellow at the University of Notre Dame where he taught and conducted research in philosophy. Kevin Arnold is responsible for the Genetics portfolio as well as managing current and future projects in the Life Sciences. in biochemistry from Messiah College and his doctorate in biomolecular chemistry from the University of Wisconsin–Madison. He continues as a Clinical Assistant Professor in the Department of Psychiatry at the University of Pennsylvania’s Perelman School of Medicine. Bryant worked closely with the late Sir John Templeton in developing the structure and operations of the John Templeton Foundation. Burnett worked in communications at the National Academy of Sciences. in philosophy from Rice University and pursued his doctoral studies in the history of science at University of California, Berkeley.New funding initiatives in Genetics investigate fundamental mechanisms which underpin human identity and genetic determinism, the neuroscience of behavior and cognition, and epigenetic research. His research on determinants of enzyme specificity for histone acetyltransferase complexes has resulted in several peer-reviewed publications. from the Rosemead School of Psychology at Biola University and his B. Dawn Bryant manages the legal affairs of the Foundation. Prior to that, he worked for Bio Logos as well as the AAAS Dialogue on Science, Ethics, and Religion. Benjamin Carlson is the director of strategic communication for the John Templeton Foundation.
