The knowledge and skills gained through this Access course are transferrable to any job, and would be particularly useful for some jobs in the health and care sector.

You will also complete a unit of study skills designed to support your skills in research techniques, report writing, presentation skills and academic English.

The standard entry requirements for a level 3 programme at the College is: Level 2 Functional Skills Maths may be used as an equivalent for GCSE Maths.

If you have GCSE Maths and Functional Skills Level 2 in English you may undertake an initial assessment to determine your level of English.

The University of Wisconsin-Madison School of Social Work offers two different majors for students looking to obtain a bachelor’s in social work: a Bachelor of Social Work (BSW) and a Bachelor of Arts/Bachelor of Science in Social Welfare.

Both majors provide students with the opportunity to continue study towards a higher degree or to begin their career in the human service arena upon graduation.
